本来は面頬単体で成立するものではなく、
特殊な鎧の一部分であるらしい。

装着すれば、精神の鎮静効果がもたらされる。
Ｂランクまでの精神的な魔術効果をキャンセルする、という驚異的な効果を持つが……

この面頬の真価はそこにはない。
慈悲の一切なく、如何なる非道も迷わず実行する―――
鋼の精神を有する武者への近道。
それこそが、面頬の真価であり、設計意図である。

This is said to be a mask modeled after a particular oni's face. Originally, the mask was not meant to be worn on its own, but as part of a unique set of armor. Once equipped, it grants a mental calming effect. It has the surprising ability to cancel out psychic magical effects up to B rank...but that is not its true value.

The presence of mind to carry out any atrocity without mercy... This is the quickest path to becoming a warrior with a mind like steel. Therein lies the true worth of this mask and the intent behind its design.
