Divine Oracle's Chains
The people thought it was only natural. They had angered the gods. There was a price to pay for such folly, such hubris. Feeble though this plea may be, it was all they could do. And so nobody questioned why she was bound. The princess and her chains simply went together. Few knew the true meaning and brilliance behind those fetters. Only the princess and the hero who saved her.
He had probably saved a great many people. Many women, no doubt. Yet, without hesitation, he made her his wife. Why?
Along with her shackles, she encountered the radiance of a hero. Then, what brilliance might the hero have perceived, seeing her and her chains? Only the bindings of prophecy know.
