盈月の儀を催すにあたって、
徳川将軍家より由井正雪に下賜された大小二本。
鞘から鍔、柄に至るまで白色で誂えられている。
この大小を有する限り、由井正雪は幕臣の中でも特別な存在として見做される。

剪定事象と目される江戸にあって、
第四代将軍家綱は、一度だけ言葉を交わした由井正雪を「その魂、清廉の白が如し」と評したという―――

The Tokugawa Shogunate bestowed upon Yui Shousetsu a pair of swords at the commencement of the Waxing Moon Ritual. Both are decorated entirely in white, from scabbard, to mounting, to handle. As long as she possessed this pair of swords, Yui Shousetsu was regarded as a special figure among the shogunate's retainers.

In the pruned timeline of the Edo period, the fourth shogun, Ietsuna, was said to have described Yui Shousetsu only once: "Her soul is pure white."
