苏菲亚 (Sophia) 和她的机器人戈多 (GDBot) 是我为 GDQuest 项目设计的两个角色，主要用作项目吉祥物和示例用角色。这套设计图包括 1 张主概念图和两个人物的 (不严谨的) 三视图各 1 张。

设计

苏菲亚的发型和机器人的头部造型是根据 Godot 图标的机器人头上那 4 个标志性的齿轮状凸起派生出来的。苏菲亚的发色则是从 Godot 社区当时已经存在的一个拟人化角色 Godette 那里继承来的。苏菲亚和机器人的名字则是 GDQuest 项目的维护者 Nathan 起的。

巧合

尽管苏菲亚从名字到设计要素都不是我提出的，但巧合的是我在 20 多年前刚开始数码绘画时设计的一个原创角色居然也叫苏菲亚 (中文名是“凌瞳”)，而且也是蓝发 (尽管是双马尾)，也带着笔记本电脑和一个机器人。

我原本早就把自己的苏菲亚给忘得一干二净 (她的概念经过多年发展已经被爱理诗和白云继承走了)，可是在绘制这套图的过程中因为保存错了文件夹，在搜索名为“sophia”的 KRA 文件的时候却顺带找到了 2000 年左右的那张老图——这大概就是缘分吧。

我或许会让苏菲亚在日后的个人原创作品“电子之心”和“千变灵兽”中客串为主角们的同班同学。

Sophia and GDBot are the mascots I designed for GDQuest. They are being used as sample characters in the tutorials too.

Design

Sophia’s hairstyle is based on the Godot’s robot head logo, taking inspiration from the 4 gear teeth on its head. Her hair color is derived from Godette, an earlier anthropomorphized character by the Godot community based on the logo. The names of Sophia and GDBot were given by the GDQuest maintainer Nathan.

Coincidence

Although Sophia’s name and her concepts were not my ideas, by coincidence, I found out later that I did have a forgotten original character with the same name who shared most of the concepts, the only difference being she has twin tails.

I rediscovered my own Sophia when I was searching in my computer for “sophia” to locate where I saved GDQuest Sophia’s source files. And I was pleasantly surprised by also finding my own Sophia in the result.

I might give Sophia a role in my original projects, Electric Hearts and Spirit Animals in Disguise.
