As a Friend, For Now...
If I recall correctly, it was the day before the deadline.
I may have been exhausted from crunch time, but my psyche was, on the contrary, clear. It felt as if time was being infinitely compressed. The feeling of fatigue was soon replaced by a sense of omnipotence, and it felt like I could do anything!
...Yep, that's the so-called crunch time high.
The next thing I knew, we were in the pool at night. Uh, we were definitely not in any position to be playing around, not when every single second is so precious. But the two of us sneaked out of the room. We even turned off our phones.
That night, when we just played in the water for no reason...was really, really fun.
