The amusing part would probably be Wahoo wouldn't ping for her torps, she'd outright do it the old fashioned way like how Gato was ridiculously scary if she lined you up and you suddenly see torpedoes coming out of nowhere when there's no ship with torpedo tubes at that proximity

This is a reference to the events of January 24th, 1943 when Wahoo torpedoed Harusame and nearly snapped her keel. Harusame would have been sunk if she hadn't immediately beached herself.
