Not to mention San Francisco, O'Bannon, New Orleans, and San Diego.
There's a couple other cruisers I'd want to see them tackle, too, for the sheer value of seeing how they'd interact with the Japanese shipgirls with whom they have histories. And submarines.
Getting to all of the Fletcher sisters might be a bridge too far, but an attempt should be made regardless.

Kancolle only acknowledges history between America and Japan when it's flattering to Japan. If it doesn't make Japan look good, it's glossed over. Or sometimes they do things with no historical basis to make Japan look better. Remember how Drum is scared of Mizuho?

The only times USN ships are scared of the ships they sunk is when they can easily lose a rematch. In Drum's case, she wouldn't be able to stop Mizuho from suddenly going RMS Olympic on her ass. As for glossing over anything that makes Japan look bad, need I remind you of Langley bragging about helping to sink Yamato? Or should I point out that Wahoo is completely unrepentant (not to mention rather insensitive) when meeting Harusame?
Really? Honolulu has no chance against Jintsuu? Northampton can't take a destroyer?
Honolulu has had to deal with a lot of Japanese torpedoes coming out of nowhere and taking out her squadron-mates. It's like a soldier who had a lot of his friends get domed by enemy snipers suddenly being ordered to work with the most notorious instructor in the enemy sniper school. As for Northampton, none of her voice lines mention Takanami so she doesn't fit into the category of "scared of the ships they sunk".

I would have still liked them to tackle the really harsh stuff like the prisoners killed aboard Tone and I-8, just as how I'd like to see them handle something like USS Bowfin sinking Tsushima Maru. Again, perhaps a bit too much to ask.
