その樹は、いずれ腐るのだと奴等はいった。
輝かしく広がるはずであった血脈の枝葉は、
まるで剪定されるかのように手折られた。

ゆえに新たな種を植えるしか、男に道はなかった。
それを希望などと美しい言葉では着飾るまい。
だが、己を排斥した者共に報いる一矢にしてみせよう。

やがて育つ、黄金の樹の下で。
男はただ前を見据えていた。

People said that this tree was going to eventually rot. The branches and leaves that were supposed to be their glorious lineage were all getting cut down, as if getting pruned.
