im hoping we get to see a match with the losing teams from the first rounds fight it out. who can't say seeing komachi and eiki fighting yuuka (and cirno) or meiling and flandre wouldn't be a treat?

Love to see Flan and Meiling again (with flan trying this time).
Back Flip is an iconic technique used by Prince Kamehame (No, please don't confuse him with a technique of a lecherous turtle sage...), since it was the very technique that robbed Kinnikuman of his perfect victory mark just 7 seconds into the match. It ends up being the most humiliating and traumatic technique for him...

I'm eager to see how Eiki will respond to this.
So, basically, Kaguya insulted Eiki the same way she did back when she was still owning the match.
Man after being drivin into the mat by a double team finisher that you can swear it would break her neck Shiki stood right up. Thats badass right there even if she got taken down one move later.
Here's hoping Kaguya and Moku have lost their Face status among the fans. I mean they went to extremes to beat up one person, and then there was the brutal beating they gave Komachi.
I remember someone saying Dei checked the comments here or was that someone else?
I'm waiting for the next comic to see the fate sealed...

You forgot the whole spitting blood in the face. And I'm surprised no one noticed how non-ref like Aya's been in both of Kaguya's matches.

Indeed and now their loss as turned some people against their opponents, enough to even wish Sanae upon them.
You know what irritates me most about this resolution?
You don't even get to see the last part of the match, and only get the whole story through exposition. Considering how much of a foregone conclusion that it was, it felt needless, and it just kind of rubbed in the point of 'LOL Useless Komachi'.

Well I'm hoping against hope that something turned out different as there's nothing that firmly sets it (Eiki would confirm the match ending one way or another)
Honestly? I think eiki forfeited, and is about to admit that. Sanae thought that it was the right thing to do to lie. That or you know, she actually lost.

I actually don't think he is. What I see with her is a classic "wrastling" setup.
Make a team that people just hate and give em a bunch of BS and keep them moving. Cause tons of rage, then finally have them lose badly to the "heroes".
Honestly the only time we had something really odd happen that kinda tossed a curve ball was with Team Faith vs Scarlet 200%. Who knows how it was intended to end up, but Zerii ended up conflicted with the potential result.
I am actually a bit curious to see the original end of that match.

Difference was Yuuka was never trying to fake being a Face, she was being herself. People would sooner like a real heel than a fake Face.

Who are the "Heroes" then? Unlike say Gensokyo Tag Tournament, there's no real main team and Eiki said there's no real face team in the tournament. And with as much asspuling as these two did, it'd take a equal or greater amount of asspulling to beat them.
I do find it hard to believe that Sanae/Suwako could get more votes than Flandre/Meiling, after all it's not outing yourself as a SR Otaku would enable one to gain popular that surpasses a long time favorite, right? At least Sanae is a good girl about it and good things come of it. The same cannot be said of the two immortals.
Frankly, my only real issue is with the Immortals suddenly gaining super-strength and super-jumping and super so-forth when nothing in either their pasts or this series previous matches indicates that such things are either likely to be possessed by them, or common at all. Even the other super-strong types, barring Hijiri (whose canon abilities include a general "superwoman" physical power boost, which was weakened in the barrier) never did the kind of super-leaps or over the top moves the Immortals did. None of the other characters who aren't typically displayed as physical powerhouses did them either, they basically fought in the realm of (high-powered) human wrestlers, with drop kicks that travel the length of the ring, at most, not to the ceiling.
If he wanted to have everyone suddenly have the physical "power levels" of Kinnikuman characters, he probably should've done it from the start, not after several hundred strips and only for one team that has no history of physical might.
I don't really have any problem with Kaguya and Mokou winning, overall. I think Higan Judgment was a more interesting team, but I'm not the creator. Kaguya and Mokou are probably in my top 5 or so most-liked characters. I'm fine with them being heels, I'm fine with them "cheating". I'd be fine if they'd used joint locks or other such moves within the realm of where their abilities should be, more or less.
I just dislike how some of it was done. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Red 75% might be it depending on the next match. Team Faith has that potential now with Sanae gone full "goodie two-shoes" and the overall "happy ending" of the match with Scarlet 200%.
I think Zerii was during the whole sermon acknowledging that he didn't have a "hell team" (or a hero team) and the match was a step in correcting that (I think we can all agree team immortal is the team to hate now).

Don't forget Touhou 12 and 12.3 had recently come out and Sanae was 4th or 5th in the touhou popularity contest.
I can fully believe the results (as much as I hated them) considering the timing. Had it been 6 months previous I would have called BS as well.
As I say I am guessing that Zerii just wanted a team that everyone could just get in there at hate for every possible reason. When they finally get beat, the bells will ring out from every church steeple.

The problem here is that Mokou and Kaguya both have sizable fanbases that are upset on the role thrust on them. It's not even the matter of winning or losing; their issue is on how their favorite characters are treated.
This has been going on for the whole series, actually. The most loudest of this was during the oft-mentioned Sanae miracle BS matches.
Personally, I'd rather drop this pointless issue and move on to the next arc.
Not sure if either of those two would count. Sure Sanae's Face enough, but what about Suwako who was downright vicious in that last match. Let's not forget how Sanae more or less caused Yuuka and Cirno's issues to resolve themselves. Not sure if I could consider Reimu and Remilia one as they're fighting for money and pride respectively; though they certainly fought cleanly enough and are believably strong/skilled.

I think after the scarlet 200% fight Suwako learned a lesson of her own. I am betting she will over the course of the next fights atone for her previous behavior and become a hero.

Reimu might have the classic "the money really doesn't matter" moments and Remilia depending on how Sakuya/suika do could fight for the pride of the SDM as a whole as well as learn about honor and whatnot from her servants and their battles.
Neither is a hero team yet but I see both having potential with some serious "cheese" moments but that is what makes wrastlin, wrastlin.
Honestly either of the underground teams have/had the potential as well.
Usually the comments can enhance the experience of the pictures on danbooru, but with this series I'm definitely getting the opposite effect. If you're just here to enjoy the story, don't bother scrolling down.
Also, the comments section of this entire collection is the largest, most fetid cesspool of MY TOUHOUES ;_; on the site. Byakuren H. Christ people, it's a comic about magical asshole girls in fetish wear doing an over the top professional wrestling tournament because why the fuck not? The MST3K Mantra is your friend.
It was a 3-count victory.
