Of course you didn't, but it happened anyway. So don't be be so damn ungrateful. I for one appreciate the change Madoka made over the long haul and she chose to help everyone instead of whining forever

Would those nightsky wing-like things indicate that Homura is still gonna turn into a witch, because her timetravel powers made her immune to the change or something like that, or am I simply overthinking things?

It's not possible to become witch in the new world I think.

If you don't have enough energy, you will simply disappear.

Let's go with over-thinking. Much easier.

I'm going to call her Madokami(-sama, if you prefer it that way).

    what i'm curious about is:

since Godoka recreated the universe, and Homura therefore never made her original wish, what was the new wish that gave her the bow? And what happened to Godoka's soul gem? presumably it is still out there somewhere.

i wouldn't be surprised if Urobuchi made a follow-up series with those questions in mind

I thought that it was stated that only Homura had memories of her.

No need for a sequel to answer that one:

Presumably it would have been something like Madoka's wish in the first time loop (which is also never revealed)... something along the lines of simply wanting to help people by becoming a magic girl. But since the payment for the wish is actually that, I have to believe that they both ended up taking up Mami's advice and wished for cake. Cake is good.

It looks like that, but what actually happens is Madoka destroying the witch form as soon as it appears and basically "saving your soul". Yeah, Jesus vibes, Jesus vibes everywhere.

Madoka said they'll "meet again", as for how that possibly happens, see what I said above. The final scene seems somewhat post-apocalyptic, I wouldn't be surprised if Homura (thanks to her wish still being in effect) went on with protecting the (divine) Madoka's world for millenia or even longer. She even says something in that sense in the epilogue. Yeah, it all seems pretty distant from the self-contained narration of the previous eleven episodes, but fuck me, the whole 12 was pretty trippy.

    Actually, that isn't required:

There's no reason not to assume that all the magic girls have always been immortal and unageing, as all they are is a soul gem... and there's no reason for the physical shell to ever age. It's just that it almost never comes up, because the girls are shown to typically burn out rather quickly.
