Feel like I just watched Council debut yesterday and Myth's 1s anniversary the day before. All good things end eventually, but still so sad to say goodbye.
Gura has always been a quiet, shy and introverted girl. The spotlight pressure she was under wasn't something she was built for, and it only got worse over time. It's sad to see her go, and I hope she's got a support system around her so she'll be okay.

With how many of the recent wave of graduates citing "disagreements with management" were from the earlier gens of their respective branches, I get the feeling some of the old guard was just suffering from burnout. The fact that literally no one was prepared for EN to blow up as much as they did during the pandemic probably didn't help matters though

Yeah the "disagreements with management" is just to redirect the hate away from the talents and towards the company and easen the burden from them leaving. Burnout, stress, health issues, pressure and expectations are huge, I hope Gura takes a well deserved recovery, her mentioning stress getting so bad she would not eat or sleep is very rough to hear.
Not sure why people are so fixated on the "disagreement with management" part when she gave a much clearer reason in the fact that she can't handle the stress load.

People just want to point fingers and blame someone, it was the same with Shion and Mumei, people ignoring them mentioning health issues and going straight into "Company = Evil"

I think that brings up the uncomfortable idea that being a Vtuber is ultimately too stressful and demanding. Most Vtubers retire after a few years, don't they?
I will still keep singing "Wake me up when September ends"; There will always be a spot in our hearts reserved for you. I love you shark, we all do. Please take care of yourself.

5 years is already a long time in Vtubing circle IMO. Anyone who goes beyond that number (and is still thriving, even) is in a league of its own.

Some just forget that in Japan had an actual "Black Company" exist that they way they treat employees is as worse than treating slaves. But regardless, people nowdays don't know how bad things this people work for. Especially that being a voice actor is not something an "easy work money"

that goes beyond Vtubers, and applies to pretty much all content creating in general. Staying on the content creation grind is stressful and burnout is extremely common even among successful entertainers.
