I believe ZUN confirmed Sakuya's age to be in late teens to very early twenties. Not really a girl, let alone a shoujo. (Yeah, in Japanese the specific word has a much narrower meaning.)

I thought that only Sakuya said she was in her late teens. What with her power to control time it isn't to hard to imagine that she found a way to stop herself from aging and might really be an old h-*knifed*

Honestly, The entire Akyuu book should be taken with a grain of salt. Akyuu is really no different than the rest of us. The only person we can truly rely on for actual info is ZUN. We can barely listen to the characters talk about themselves as well. The ones with a huge EGO will tell you they're chuck norris and the ones with no self esteem will say they're lower than dirt.

Lunarians don't really change; why would they need a concept of age aside from mental maturity?

(Of course, that raises questions about Eirin's maturity if that's how she's answering...maybe I should take into account that 17 used to be well above marriageable age, but even so...)
