Elsa Maria, Gertrud, Walpurgis, Charlotte, and H.N. Elly (Kirsten). Of course, these are probably only their witch names. Perhaps Kyubey is the only one remaining who knows their real names.

A prequel with these five as main characters when they were still magical girls would be nice..

Actaully I love the idea of

It's all about the journey, not the destination.

I donnu. As much as I enjoy the idea of Charlotte once having been a magical girl, didn't she get "born" as a witch in the anime? In other words, at least Charlotte was not a magical girl to begin with. Charlotte was a "familiar" that was left alone long enough to become a witch.

Even if Charlotte is just a familiar, it could still work since

guys, what if
Walpurgis was the first magical girl in existence, and she grew due to the despair of all those after her???
