Wouldn't silicon oil be bad for an android like this? I would have assumed most of the cosmetic features (skin, etc.) on one would have been made out of silicon.

Silicon and silicone are different.

Nope,silicon is good for low-heated gear(Like eye parts,fingers) and lifting motors(Using by hands,legs,shoulders and neck parts),just the high price and not very good on non active parts makes user keeps running on other oil.

I design android bodys,I know what is the point.
