actually, it seems Ran lost her cool when Yukari impersonated Chen, the last panel here shows her finally remembering.

Putting my jokes aside, canon or fanon. Yukari has the most broken powers in the series that works without the aid of plot armor. So ya, I'd diffenetly say, Ran got the better end of the deal here.
