Why are the uniforms black now? I didn't play the second one but the black/red seems rather Imperial.

what makes them different is that from what I have known the nameless unit seems to be gallia's elite ops and all of their works freakin unrecorded well yeah... so basically according to what have scans have beentold that the characters are a bunch of veteran misfits all clambered together

So Valkyria Chronicles: Black Ops? In the sense that their actions are unrecorded I mean not like the whole deal with "The Numbers"

Not "elite." The nameless are a group of convicts with their names unrecorded just to be deployed on specific military affairs in secrecy. They're sort of like Black Ops, but considered disposable.

I though being descended from the Valkyyur was supposed to be a rare thing, which is why the empire was so surprised that there were two of them in the war.

In the first one valkyrie are supposed to be rare but we have two of them, in the second one we have a child with the power of valkyrie and in the 3rd one we have one in our team, powning everything for a short time...

Yes valkyrie are rare for sure, pretty much rare as darcsen are loved by everyone :/

It's a hint at soviet "ShtrafBat"(Penal battalions).
Meaning all characters in VC3 is military criminals.

Military criminals on senstive operations? Isn't that something you want those type of people away from those kind of missions?
You know what else? I'm getting a sneaking idea that almost every single military leader in Gallia's Armed Services are complete knobheads, something tells me the Imperial Forces are doing these chuckle-heads a favor by annexing them, they're more of a danger to themselves then anything else

They're not elite ops, they're Penal Squad, unit for war/military criminal, civil criminal, spy, deserter, convict or just-want-to-dispose (Riela's case).
