I blame the unforgiving difficulty (and relative rarity in arcades, compared to Capcom's stuff) of the arcade cabinets.

To be honest, the only SNK machines i ever played were those 3 in 1 cabinets. But capcom on the other hand....

I'm sad NeoGeo also never really went anywhere too. I blame it on bad timing though.
