oh hey, you're here! It's nice to see artists who aren't mad about their art being posted here. I honestly really don't understand that, since it always has a source so it's literally free promotion. I found so many good artists thanks to Danbooru. Some artists issue takedown requests on their page too... Well, I'm glad you're not one of them at least! :D

I really appreciate Danbooru, since people here respect artists with credit and also don’t upload works that are not supposed to be public. I visit it often because I don’t actually have an archive of my own works on PC haha But I understand why other artists don’t want to have a page

From your perspective, could you explain why artists wouldn't want to have a page? There are dozens of reasons I can think of- but I'd like to hear the wording from an actual artist.

I’ve talked to some artists, but a lot of them view it as a form of repost, where people would rather visit and view those sites instead of following the original artists. Honestly, I think another reason might be that some artists might upload something, hate it, delete it, but then see it all around the internet anyway. I hate some of the works/versions uploaded on Danbooru too, but it’s already a part of the internet the moment I upload and make it public… I understand why other artists would want to delete those Danbooru pages, but at the same time I tried to tell them that there’s little they can do when something is shared on the internet… I just wish it wouldn’t put them in so much distress, I know the feeling of not being able to control where your artworks end up, but Danbooru is better out of all other places I think. Sorry if it sounds rude, I don’t wish to talk for other artists, they have their own reasonings

Thank you. Don't worry, this doesn't sound rude. Even a rude perspective, as long as it contains feelings explained by actions, would be valuable to learn from. I wish the best for your endeavors in the future.

Personally, wouldn't rather look at art on Danbooru or anything, but I do prefer saving it here instead of Twitter, cause I can actually see all my bookmarks here, they look better and I can look at some specific ones with tags. On Twitter I can't even see my bookmarks if I have too many. But if the art exists on pixiv, I always save it there cause I can organize my bookmarks with the bookmark tags.
That's another thing having a Danbooru page is useful for, finding the art on pixiv. Some artists don't link their pixiv accounts on their Twitter, some even have like a linktre thing, but their pixiv account is still missing from there. So I look them up on Danbooru in order to find their pixiv account. So yeah, I still don't really get why someone would take down the whole page, cause they're quite useful for finding sources. I get maybe not wanting some specific art here if they hate it, but taking down the whole page seems like a bit much. Oh well.
