And it seems to be working, since Chireiden has pulled ahead for the first time in the past few days.

Ugh...I don't want SA to win because of something like this. It's not worth it.

Wait, one picture? No way that one picture made them pull ahead. They were incredibly far behind.

At the moment I write it's got 9,608 hits. Considering that they're currently leading by 45,000+ (and continuing to pull ahead at an alarming rate) I don't see this image as being the reason they're ahead.

Well, yeah, but it's the spirit of things. Coincidence or not, this got posted and SA is suddenly steamrolling MoF. Eh.

In SaiMoe, 2channers sometimes organize voting rushes where everyone holds their vote until a certain time so as to gain the morale boost from seeing their character suddenly shoot up in votes. Not quite the same situation here, since 'votes' are unlimited, but it wouldn't surprise me if some off-Pixiv coordination was taking place.

It also seems like there's also been an awful lot of pictures uploaded on both sides lately, which is understandable considering that we're near the end of the tournament, so hits are going to skyrocket one way or another.

Although I didn't imagine Chireiden would not only erase Fuujinroku's lead, but create a big one of their own. At the time I write this, Chireiden leads by 200K hits and that lead is only getting bigger.

Looking further into it, SA's mvp is an absolute artistic monster, getting tens of thousands of views per picture in a day or two. Nothing on the MoF side compares.
Mountain needs a miracle if it wants to win.

Anything's possible. Just look at how Chireiden jumped ahead for a good example. Of course, they have an extremely daunting task. If my world clock is correct, then they have 24 hours and 15 minutes to erase a lead of 204,000+. The good news for them is, Chireiden's surge has died down. The bad news is, Fuujinroku hasn't really done anything to take advantage of that, as it's been a lead of about 204K for the last few hours.

Indeed... the guy's doing something terribly wrong and/or too much. And victory isn't worth going that far. Then again this is the sort of thing this artist would do despite his cute (yet stacked) Okuu.
