I know chocolate is harmful to dogs, but cats? Can somebody explain please?
Chocolate contains both caffeine and theobromine, both which are toxic to dogs and cats. Particularly at the levels that may be found in the food we eat (link). It appears it's harder for them to remove it from their system than it is for humans to do so, and their bodies are more sensitive to it's impacts. Cats are slightly more sensitive to theobromine than dogs are, but dogs are more likely to be poisoned because cats are a lot less likely to consume chocolate.
White chocolate is safer than others kinds of chocolate, because it's honestly not actually chocolate. It's barely considered chocolate at it's best if it has cocoa butter and it's contains 0% of anything chocolate if it doesn't even contain that.

And the really funny thing about things humans eat that are poisonous to domesticated animals -- including caffeine and theobromine -- is that, a lot of the time, they're also at least mildly poisonous to humans. We humans just think our food is bland if it doesn't have enough of the right poisons in it.

It should also be noted that how poisonous it is heavily depends on the size of the animal and volume of the chocolate. A large dog can get away with eating a little with no more than a stomachache, but a small dog faces a much higher risk for the same amount of chocolate.
Orin being in human form, even assuming her physiology is still mostly identical to a normal, non-youkai house cat's, is definitely not going to die from eating a single pocky stick at her size.
