ひとりひとり、すべての人との記憶が薄れていかないなどということはありえない。だから鎖や装身具として残すのだ。

Memories of those we have met slowly fade and slip away. That's just how it is. And so I choose to keep these chains and trinkets to remember them by.

I have lost many friends and comrades along the way, but there is nothing to be gained by cursing my inability to save them. That feeling will never bring back those who have been lost.
