Tonfa / Nightstick. Tonfas are typically made of wood. Nightsticks of a composite material.
Their benefit is that you can have them run by your forearm so you can use them to block blunt weapons instead of using just your forearm and breaking said bones. The part that sticks out can be used to punch someone with or you can rotate it when not defending yourself and whack them with it.
