I had added a hyphen to make it "I-Cup" so as to make the intended pronunciation more obvious. I see you've reverted it.

"Icup" doesn't look like a realistic given name of European origin either. Regardless, it's a phonetic pun, so it isn't meant to look like a realistic name. If you have to explain the joke, as you did a couple of comments back, that implies a lack of confidence that your choice of spelling is sufficient on its own to communicate the pun. The addition of the hyphen would more solidly convey the pun without need for explanation, which is fairly vital to the humor value, and since the name doesn't have to look realistic for the sake of the joke, no harm would be done.
