Are you sure that statement is correct, ppayne? I own the All-Japanese art book "This Is Animation Volume11: The Super Dimension Fortress-1 Macross Do You Remember Love?" and it shows her wearing this exact outfit four minutes into the movie. Even the Artist's commentary translates to "Lin Minmei, the diva of the movie version of The Super Dimension Fortress Macross. This is the outfit she wore at her first concert."
