An A6M Zero twin Zeke? It really looks like a clear reference to the Messerschmitt BF-109 Zwiling (Which the only prototype was destroyed in an air raid), and a possible what if, if the the Imperial Japanese tried it.

imperial japan copied many designs from germany, luger,bf-109, the ME jet, kar-98k, tanks. in japans eyes germany is an ispiration, but then again many coutries take designs from germany.
