Amazing color piece by MementoMori (MementoMoriVArt on TwitterX), and of a property I bet none of y'all were expecting to see around these parts, for some reason or another.

To make a long story short...

2012-2013-ish or something. I met them.

At the time, I didn't think a whole lot of Hibiki Hibino and Chikagi Katsuragi. From the perspective of an asshat living in the United States relying almost entirely on subtitles, they kinda just showed up in Carnival Phantasm, had half an episode to themselves, and that was it. They were cute, they seemed like they had good chemistry with each other from their little tidbits, and that was that. I also somehow managed to pick up that they were basically mascots of TM in some capacity, but beyond all that, that was it.

Fast-forward to about 12 years later, with various shifts in mood and several new things showing up. Oh, and the shutdown of the original Type-Moon mobile website. Hibiki and Chikagi appear once again in Fate/Grand Order, and for some reason... it's like meeting two long-lost childhood friends again.

How have these two NOT been shipped any harder? Like, actually. So at the time of this posting and writing, these two are living rent-free in my head, and I'm desperately holding out for more stuff involving them to be translated into English, because a lot of their stuff is, like... not easy to find these days, especially for us English-speaking dipshits. C'mon, Type-Moon, once you're done with the Tsuki remake saga, quit faffin' around and give MahoHako a proper revival of some kind for the international audience! I've done some semblance of research, those other plotlines can't hide from me!

If one must ask about the name of the piece, I chose it on account of the situation that HibiChika is in for their FGO presence. For the most relevant of details, they possess the Jewels of the Sea Tides or some shit--Hibiki (orange) has the Low Tide Jewel, while Chikagi (green) has the High Tide Jewel.

BTW, that opening line of the proper description is just a smarmy little nod to Garden of Sinners.
