He didn't apologize for their sake though, given he didn't make any comment when post #8206405 inspired similar responses. It was because Japanese users began responding to said comments too, forcing his hand lest he look bad to the companies he works with (Nintendo included).

I like Bkub's art and content, but yeah he did mess up here with drawing her lighter. He should have color picked her skin at least :(

So I skimmed through the bigger and earlier surviving quote tweet responses. Seems like Bkub apologized after about 12 hours and, if I've got the timeline correct, accidentally drew more attention to the controversy, thus dragging it out for at least another three more days. The whole thing's dumb, wouldn't recommend reading.
