That wouldn't work: Even the dog would ashamed by the inherent pointless of this caps.
For those like me that were confused, the point here is that the upper frame is from recent DVD releases (including R2 release) while the lower frame is from the original VHS release.
I think I've made the point about as clear as I can with the limited interface. Yeah, the lower frame is a shot from the original VHS. Every subsequent release (including the laserdisc) was altered in order to remove any trace of pubic hair. I thought this entry would be of interest because it's a very rare image.
Feel free to use comments to explain in detail what comparisons represent. In this case, the image is unlikely to be approved due to its mainly academic value, rather than artistic.
Does this apply for all VHS releases? I believe there were two US VHS releases of Gunbuster--one from US Renditions (1990), and another from Manga Entertainment (1996). I imagine the latter release took after the laserdisk version.
