From the official-y retweeted arts involving a clear show of panties and torn clothes, I imagine Project KV would've been quite a risque-y clothes-teary game.
Despite(?) everything that happened, a shame it didn't go through...

I wished it did instead of being cancelled over bad publicity involving baseless conspiracy theories.
From a brief search, it seemed like people were just making theories. Were there hard evidence and documentation regarding the behind-the-scenes?
If you consider anonymous people with authentic company badges giving their own accounts hard evidence, then there was a quite a bit of it.
Besides that, there were plenty of things the devs did objectively wrong, and a "brief search" brings up multiple videos on the topic. Revealing an amount of content and work that couldn't have been feasibly created in the month since leaving the company, the whole comiket fiasco (which they did fuck all to rectify), looking for investors for a project with no proof of concept to show, doing the absolute bare minimum to distinguish your project from an existing and thriving product (and still doing a piss poor job of it).
It was just misstep after misstep. If you honestly think the initial theories were all that contributed to the cancelation, you haven't done enough research.
