And this, I'm sorry to say, concludes this chapter of the series. I know this because I own the doujin release (unless the artist unexpectedly does something else). It's definitely shorter and not really as interesting as the other fights, to me, which saddens me since I'm a fan of Mystia and the other character's potential could've gone further... But we'll see how the author follows up on this stuff.
Wha.... Okay, that was anticlimactic. Looks a little rushed. I'm not blaming the artist since I can understand the sheer amount of work this idea would have required. Still, I can't help being a bit saddened about how this particular fight ended.

I feel the same way.I mean, see Akyuu pulling a GODDAMN BATMAN was really epic, but he could have done a better ending.
It's a bit anti-climatic, but I don't think it's unexpected. I do think that the artist did focus on the indirect Tenshi v Akyuu angle a bit too much (to the point that Mystia almost got completely ignored in this battle), but at the start, it was shown that Chen alone simply didn't have the power to win.
Not unexpected, and I can even see this being spun as a victory of Personal Growth for Chen, what with being able to scratch Tenshi's defense. She might not be able to progress in this tournament, but her abilities/character in general might have gone through a positive improvement.
... assuming the author wants to go with that angle, anyway.
whew very anti-climatic it is, I didn't see that coming I mean the way this battle goes it looks like Akyuu/Chen are going to win with "Effort" and "Hardwork" as their forte, but alas Tenshi/Mysti won.
And with that the underdogs winning every match(except the one with Kanako) ends here. Now I'm worried about the match Mima/Yuuka vs Sunny/Luna, It won't end well probably.
I was extremely disappointed by this ending, really. Tenshi and Mystia are just... blander characters than Chen and Akyuu. Well, let's hope this guy can imbue them with enough character to actually be INTERESTING.
I'm sorry everyone. If only I hadn't called Akyuu Batman, this wouldn't have been as disappointing. However, I still like this fight. Sure, it was pretty short and without much of a climax but there are about... 50 fights for this guy to make. Some will be ridiculously short.
Keep in mind, they played their card in this match with Akyuu hiding and giving Chen advice. I seriously doubt it would work in the next match with people knowing what they had planned. All they had was initial surprise. At least with Mystia and Tenshi, there will be a better fight in the next round.
Personally I like Mystia, so no problem on my end. lol
The whole concept of Chen acting according to someone's guidance is cool until you think that she would have to be able to read Akyuu's mind for that to work, words are simply not fast enough. That, or Tenshi would have to be slower than any average person browsing danbooru right now, in which case Chen could take her on her own. Meh either way, what was supposed to happen, happened and the way it did was fairly interesting. Also about being bland, if anyone deserves to be called that it's Chen.

Come on, we all knew they were going to lose precisely because Akyuu is the GODDAMN BATMAN and she got hit during her prep-time. Batman without proper prep-time = opponent wins.
...Yeah, I like this conclusion. Tenshi and Mystia wins - meaning I have more Tenshi asskicking to look forward to - but Chen and Hieda put up a by any measure excellent fight and even managed to impress Tenshi, which is nothing to be ashamed of. All in all a good performance from everyone involved.
The ending seems fine to me. The outcome likely would have been a bit different if Akyuu was conscious. However, the match still would have been in Tenshi's favor.
The winner is Tenshi's team!!To be continued.SwayThat's all... for my turn...A slash from Hisou Sword as they passed each other!I see. This tournament's not what I expected.Match decided! The Akyuu team has fought well, but in vain!PoffWHUMPPerhaps I won't be bored...eh?
