For one thing to know is that Tenshi doesn't seem to have given her all against Chen. If Tenshi went Masochist mode and everything, Chen doesn't stand a chance =w=
Kanako/Hina vs. Aya/Suika *had* no real 'underdog'. It was remarkably even.
In fact, all these fights have been. Meiling/Patchy vs. Sakuya/Alice...Kanako/Hina vs. Aya/Suika...Satori/Dai-chan vs. Cirno/Wriggle. (Yes, on paper, that one's lopsided, but in practice, it turned out fairly even.)
The only fight that really looks like it's going to be a steamroll is Mima/Yuuka vs. Sunny and Star (I believe that was the team.)
I mean, really, who do you *think* is going to win? A couple of fairies, or TRINITY SPARK? Of course, stranger things have happened...Still, I give it a *minimum* of 95% that Mima/Yuuka are going to vaporize the fairies. 40% chance it happens in less than 5 pages.

What amazes me even more is that the 9,000th image of Cirno, of all characters, went unnoticed. There's only 700 something to 9,999. Let's not miss that one, folks.
You know, moments like this is why I like Tenshi. She's a terribly spoiled, incredibly selfish and hilariously irresponcible person, but sometimes she'll still be portrayed as having a sense of honor and showing respect towards her opponent.

Agreed. People need to stop hating.
Meiling/Patchy vs Alice/Sakuya - That was decided by superior teamwork and strategy and even then Patchy had to use a semi-kamikaze attack to take out Alice and Meiling barely defeated Sakuya (and only because she used the magic stone Patchy gave her).
Aya/Suika vs Hina/Kanako - That was easily the most balanced fight so far despite one team containing two goddesses! In the end it came down to sheer luck, which Hina manipulates to a certain extent, thus granting the goddess duo their win. It helps that Hina focused on supporting Kanako whereas the Aya/Suika combo had virtually no teamwork to speak of. Suika treated it like a one-on-one brawl where she could dismiss/ignore her partner to deal with the other enemy (much like Tenshi did in this match; interesting parallel there since both enjoy fighting strong enemies, are fighting game final bosses, and had avian-themed partners). Hina was definitely the VIP of that match.
Satori/Daiyosei vs Cirno/Wriggle - Like was said above, it looked lopsided on paper but in practice was actually fairly even. A lot of folks didn't even consider that Satori was only dangerous in SA because she was copying your (powerful) partner's moves. None of them seemed to consider that maybe Satori could only copy moves of people in the nearby vincinity (at least in this doujin, though it would certainly explain why in canon she doesn't have the moves of almost everyone in the Underground by now).
A lot of people also complained about it being essentially two-on-one, but if you look back on the match objectively you'd see Wriggle and Cirno never really got the chance to gang up on Saotri after Dai had her mental meltdown. In fact, Wriggle, the one most suited to fighting Satori, spent most of the match being beaten senseless by the meteors created by the weather effects (it was actually Cirno and Wriggle who had crappy luck for most of the match). She got to distract Satori once, then got knocked out. In the end, Cirno had more bad luck when a meteor hit her attack, but it turned good because Saotri wasn't expecting it so she got hit by the resulting hail.
Cirno actually got the worst of that exchange but she could simply take punishment better than Satori. As Koishi herself put it, Satori ultimately sucks at fighting/danmaku. She needs to copy other's attacks and is heavily reliant on her mind-reading (like Akyuu was dependant on her predictions), and she's probably not accustomed to taking serious physical hits (unlike Cirno who despite always getting her ass kicked has gotten progressively stronger in canon to the point where even Marisa acknowledges her strength and she can even freeze danmaku). That match was a Stage 4 boss (one whose gimick is copying your partner's moves, thus one whose difficulty wildly fluctuates) and Stage 1 mid-boss vs a Stage 1 boss and a Player Character!
The thing is, these matches aren't just fighting game duels or danmaku (like some of the complainers seem to think). These are semi-realistic, comic book style matches where dozens of factors that normally don't matter in-game (personalities, teamwork, the battlefield, strategies, injuries, exhaustion, just plain feeling under the weather, etc.) now can come into play!
The only losses that should be unrealistic are the ones where the difference in strength is so massive that one side shouldn't even be able to realistically hurt the other (such as 2 of the 3 Fairies vs Mima/Yuuka), and even then personalities may come into play (ex. scenario - Mima and/or Yuuka fighting each other after thinking their opponents are gone when really, one of the fairies is still concious).
I saw the Hina/Kanako vs Suika/Aya as imbalanced on paper mainly due to it being one stage 2 and Final vs two folks who could easily qualify as stage 5 or 6. Also a look of what would happen when Hina stops being nice. Sure she may be a mere stage 2 boss that's kind, but Misfortune has laid low the very best of people.
But these are rather spell cardish (no deaths but a few injuries), but just about anything goes.
Meiling/Patchy vs Alice/Sakuya - In most comics this would have gone to Sakuya and Alice as they're seen as very able in fights as compared to the joke and the sick girl. Not here; Superior teamwork (not to mention having any) and strategy saw the two SDMers through as opposed to the other team which basically fought their battle 'alone'. Now that I think about it, Meiling is perfect here as she's noted for being an all-rounder. In an anything goes fight, such a trait is valuable even when compared to a specialist.
Satori/Daiyosei vs Cirno/Wriggle - Pretty even until the matter of Dai being "unlocked" came into play; even afterwards, Satori gave both Cirno and Wriggle a rather hard time and even using one of Cirno's spell cards against Wriggle's bugs. But in the end it was a no brainer for Cirno. Cirno smash puny satori with ice chunk/rock indeed.
As far as the upcoming match with Komachi and Yuugi: How much clothing damage can be done before going into rating Q or E territory?
