Even without that one speech bubble in the third panel, this is quite hilarious.

And now we know why Ash uses his Pokedex to re-scan Pokemon he's already seen.

Well if you go with the coma theory his brain has to deteriorate at some point.

At least he didn't call it Farfetch'd now THAT would be insulting.

The coma theory is kind of freaky though, but seriously, how would he keep all those names remembered? I mean, give him SOME leeway here.

This is why I hate Ash as a character.
Not because he doesn't age, but because he basically resets himself every season.
You would expect him to get some developement; to be wisier as a trainer.
But then you see him forgetting pokemons he already saw and even forgetting types advantages.
