Really? If that was my son, he'd find his ass out on the street the moment he'd have grabbed my shirt. It was stupid, no father would listen to a son who angrily yells at you and would say they'd kick your ass. The moment he raised his voice angrily was the moment anything he said, no matter if they were correct or not, became meaningless. You'd never persuade anyone with a combative approach like that. It was frankly poorly done, poorly thought out, and honestly a moment that would have (and should have) ended in utter failure with the way he went about it. It was a complete waste of everything that was worked up to that point.

Considering that just a minute or so later he showed that he could control the situation in 0.2 of a second Kousaka-Papa never had to return fire in the way you described. And on Kyousuke's side he did well because he went in well prepared- knowing what to expect and do. He knew how he could work up to the point where his dad wouldn't lay him out until he had to pull the, "Eroge are my soul!" card.
Look, guys, that's about the only approach you CAN take when your dad is fucking Kenpachi.
Also, regardless of the incestuous undertones (far more present in the manga), that dude loves his little sister WAY too much. I mean seriously, I couldn't imagine falling on my sword like that for ANYONE.
I thought the dad was cool since Day 1, and he proves to be really cool as he shows how mature and understanding he is. I bet Kyousoke got his coolness and responsible-ness from this awesome dad.
