To be honest, the best trick to come from Eirin would be an honest to goodness legit treat. Reisen would never believe it to be an honestly harmless treat and torture her mind over whether or not she should believe it or not.

Actually, Eirin can die. According to Touhou Wiki, Lunarians have very long life spans and are believed to be able to live forever. In Inaba of the Moon and Inaba of the Earth, Eirin claims to have seen the other world when Kaguya almost strangled her with a leek.

But didn't Eirin also drinked the Elixir? Also the canon of that book is still debatable.
