The 🤏 hand gesture is considered offensive to anti-feminist and incel men in south korea. It's not even really pinching into a "small" implication here, but they get antsy at any gesture that looks even remotely similar to it, so it's likely.

Claiming it's supposed to be half a heart is as much of a stretch as it being the pinching gesture.

we all know the type of artist hornwood is and who that person appeals to (which is a real shame considering how good their art style is)

so theres no need to overthink the hand gesture
