The title's official translation of 'stony cat' seems to stem from the term 'stony-faced' (also, 'stone-faced'), meaning expressionless. This matches with the character description given by Media Factory as 無表情 (muhyoujyou - expressionless). The first volume will go on sale October 25th, 2010. As with other works by the Best New Author award winners, this series is expected to receive manga and/or anime adaptations.
