Actually I started shipping them when I read that Sirena's favorite activity is going treasure hunting in the sea. It's pretty close to Vandala's, which is exploring uncharted areas of the sea to discover new lands and dig up treasures. Plus PIRATE x MERMAID. So I was like "!!!!!!"

It's sad they don't interact much in the actual movie :T
