Yeah, also aside from deaths, there are also uma that had to end their career early because of injuries and such. Easiest example in Uma Musume is probably Tachyon (final race Satsuki), also like Gimlet who ran Matsukuni Rotation (Satsuki -> NHK Miles -> Japan Derby), got injured and then retire because of that. If both kept their original fate in Uma Musume, then those would be super short scenarios...

Yeah gimlet retired too early (and is alive) but that hate for fences remains strong as ever
