Screw that! He should have leveled up to wartortle on the geodudes and onixes (use pkmn center as needed).

I can't really say what the shadow is supposed to be, BUT it isn't unusual to find Machop and sometimes Machoke in and around mountains/caves.

i always did this too i had always had my starter fully evolved before i had even left the second town thou it did take some time but i always flew threw the rest

My first play-through I named him loser. And that's exactly what he was. But that trollface, that trollface is one of the best I've ever seen, and so well deserving and comically timed.

Oh this happened to me too, not in MT Doom or whatever it was called, it was on the ship

I only remember the screams of my opponents...I should be proud...but the feelings long gone.
