    It's definitely a level of storytelling I'm not used to seeing from BB. Why even include the little sister stuff? Are we supposed to feel conflicted about the dude getting eaten by the ghost wife? Or is it just supposed to be a quick little hit of feels?

    I think it's just a horror movie trope used as a joke in the comic. Like, the whole "I'm a cop and I'm going to retire tomorrow and go on that Bahamas trip I always promised my wife *dies in ten minutes*" classic.

    Honestly, it's either she eventually gets her emotional shock by discovering her bro's being arrested for rape/is dead from a rape attempt going full karma, or little sis staying happy because of him never facing any consequences ever
    I think one option is far less unfair than the other

    BB wrote in the comments that the script and paneling were done by instructions from the commissioner, that's why it feels different from his usual comics.
