This is the birthday of the French philosopher Michel de Montaigne who wrote "Essais" and is considered the pioneer for essays as a literary genre.An essay (zuihitsu) is a piece of writing where one freely expresses their experiences and thoughts. While it may seem similar to a diary in that respect, essays are often authored under the assumption that they will be read by others.ExperienceAs I was walking down the street today, I saw this small and cute dog. Imagine my surprise when the damn thing started barking and growling at me!ThoughtsExcuse me... Where did you all come from...?It made me realize that you can't judge anyone by their appearance, be they dog or human.Looks complicated...
