    晩年のスペースコロニー

    時は17万飛んで82年。銀河を旅する恒星間移民船「島3000号」に住まう8億人から始まった人口は、1000に及ぶ世代交代の末に6000万人にまで減少していた。　コロニーの遠心重力による地表の平坦化は大気循環を鈍らせ、回収しきれないエネルギーは宇宙へと散乱し、緩やかに再製不能になってゆく資源と、その枯渇が黄昏の時代を齎す。　この環境サイクルが終わりを告げる日もそう遠くはない。　それは此処で暮す人々が再び大地に降り立つ日が近いと言うことなのだ。　とか言う舞台設定のSF青春アニメを考えた。

    Artist's commentary:

    Title:The Last Days of Space Colony
    This is a story around A.D.170,082. "Island-3000" - the interstellar ark starship that travels between galaxies - had the population of 8 hundred million originally, but it was reduced to 60 million over 1,000 times of generational change.
    The field flattening caused by centrifuge-based artificial gravity in the space colony makes circulation in the atmosphere slow and irrecoverable energy scattered and lost in the outer space. The resources, then, gradually become nonrenewable and their depletion brings about the era of twilight.
    This environmental cycle would face its end in the not-so-distant future. This means that those who stay here would land on a planet in the near future.

    I came up with a SF teenage animation based on this stage setting.
