This is pretty cool. I think the "Baby Metroid" should be changed to "hatchling" or something like that.

I don't understand why Alpha Metroids pop straight out of the eggs in Metroid 2, but in all the other games you only see the regular metroids.

They're being manipulated by scientists in all the other games I can think of. Metroid Fusion has the escaped metroids start breeding normally though.

Alphas are coming out of cocoons I think, not eggs. They're not being born, they're entering another stage of their life.

In Metroid 2, Alphas molt out of the base metroid.
The only one that is ever seen hatch is the hatchling at the end.

hmm, wonder if the Metroids from Talon would have a queen like those raised in the other planet which name I can't remeber at the moment. The ones from Talon look more insect like than reptile

It's Planet SR388. This is the only time we see the Metroid evolution as the Chozo designed it to be.

You do have to remember that the Pirates moved Metroids themselves onto Talon IV so they aren't in a native habitat as is. Plus most of the Talon Metroids enter mutated evolutionary states due to phazon presence or phason infusion.

They should implement Metroids and their chain of evolution into the newest Pokémon games as secret 'Pokémon'. They did it with Kid Icarus so why not here? I'd be buying a Pokémon game for the first time in a while if that were to happen...

Metroids clone themselves rapidly when exposed to beta radiation. This is part of why they're so dangerous and why the Space Pirates try to weaponize them. It's also why they can make a buncha cruncha Metroids super fast from just one hatchling, as in Super Metroid.

I've been avoiding it, but this alone convinces me to give it a try.

I'd never expect a cute green pudge to evolve into an alien T-rex...Damn nature, you scary!
