    I guess that's what happens when the Scarlet Devil Mansion just gives up on trying to repair the damage that gets done to it so frequently...

    On the plus side, maybe the fresh air from the indoor(?) plants will help with Patchu's Asthma... if she doesn't have allergies.

    Even after the Scarlet Devil Mansion was completely destroyed, Patchouli still refused to leave the library.

    IIRC, Patchouli's books are magically protected against damage in general, which is why she's doesn't mind having epic danmaku battles in the library.
