At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Murata is some kind of PTSD-stricken, emotionless war machine that's traumatized from some kind of horrible event like having to engage in implied cannibalism to survive the aftermath of a huge battle.

Nah, they wouldn't go that far...right?
Based on all the past archons, only Nahida rule their respective nation RECENTLY while others are either give up position, left, substituted or dead, I'm pretty sure Murata is gonna fall into the "not ruling" criteria after archon quest.

Raiden also (tried to, anyways) rule her nation more recently. Albeit most of the task is still relegated to the raidenbot. Nahida, as you said, is now the 'legit' Archon of Sumeru because the Irminsul memory-wipe relegated all memories of Sumeruites about Rukhadevata to her. Furina NEVER lead Fontaine in any capacity but as superstar idol (basically). Murata most likely be the 'final boss' of Natlan's gladiator-like tournament and has killed a lot of champions to prevent the Gnosis changing hand. At the end of the Archon Quest she'll self-destruct, destroying the Archon's seat just like Furina does, if we follow the Slime Theory.
And lastly Cyro Archon is prepared to use all Seven Gnoses to blow Celestia up so Teyvat won't be ruled by them and judged on whim. At the end she failed because Celestia noticed her plot, and sacrifices herself to create a barrier protecting the whole Snezhnaya from a Nail; again following Slime Theory..

Problem is, the nails seem to be used as something to control bad stuff here and there. (sludge in Chasm, the residue of the evil dragon in Dragonspine...)
So far, we have had conflicted information on what Celestia is trying to do. I wouldn't think a nail is coming Snezhnaya's way.
