Gensokyo IS in Japan. Learn your touhou, dude.

The Shrine that the Hakurei Shrine connects to is in japan.(Which is also probably called "Hakurei shrine"). So technically, Gensokyou is in japan.

Also, as a bonus bit of pub-quiz knowledge, The Netherlands =/= Holland; Holland is merely a region in the west of The Netherlands, and people from other regions of the country generally don't like it when the whole country is referred to as Holland.

It would have been a Spain vs. Gensokyo finale. Carles Puyol vs. Okuu, Cesc Fàbregas vs. Sakuya, and Xavi Hernández vs. Reimu.

Carles Puyol can destoy Okuu with a single kick, Cesc Fàbregas can unstop time and thus it won't matter if Sakuya is the goalie, and even if Reimu can fly away from our universe, Xavi Hernández can move in the fourth dimension himself.
