I wonder about the characters here. That doesn't look very much like Asuka (even the eye color is wrong), and a female Shinji? With long hair? And a hairband? Seems more likely to me that it's just Rei and 2 miscellaneous characters from who-knows-where.

Except it's tagged with (near as I can tell with my limited moonspeak skills) the following: Asuka, NGE, crossdressing, Ikari Shinji, Ayanami Rei.

So it's all three characters and Shinji is male.

Yes, and sometimes artists don't always draw copyrighted characters exactly the way they're usually depicted, sometimes they add their own spin on things.
