No, it’s a basic canopy, for camouflage.

The miniature psycommu would allow for superior drone accuracy and control (perhaps from a small 'mobile armour' mother base, maybe using something like the Geymalk's 'mother funnels' for range, or a MP Qubeley modified for ground attack/fire support, maybe with 'active cannons' replaced with artillery) and function just fine.

If there was something like an 'MS Igloo' for the Gryps Conflict or later, a setup like this might well be featured nowadays. Tanks will never be too obsolete to be sent to get blown up, after all.
