The mark on the calendar means that Meiling has a day off (quite easy to guess since the other days has the kanji "gate" written on it)

It's the Kanji for rest so that means that day is Meiling's off day, and from the looks of it Flan will want to plan that day out for Meiling and make sure she sticks to her plan.
