You know, this is the first time that I've seen Jynx depicted in such a way.

It is interesting that Japanese artist draw Jynx using the American recolor instead of the original colors.

the reason why they use the recolor is because One person went out of their way to make up some BS that jynx was an insult directed at them

Although not intentional, Jynx's design, to some Americans, appeared as caricature of African Americans that one would see from the 1800's etc.

I am aware of the reason for the recolor and that Jynx was more of a jab at Japanese culture with the whole ganguro thing; I was pointing out that I am surprised they (jnp artist) bother to depict the chara with purple skin instead of black skin.

It's not surprising at all. Jynx has been purple in every region since Gen III. Gen II was the last to have black-skinned Jynx in Japan.

It is to me, since I am not a huge PKMN fan, so I was unaware that purple Jynx was used inside Japan.

Jynx, Electabuzz and Magmar was designed as a trio. All of them got their own pre-evolutions in Gen II, yet only Electabuzz and Magmar got their final form in Gen IV (Electivire and Magmortar) thanks to that claim. Poor Jynx. Maybe she(?) would've got a nice (beautiful) evolved form, too.

She's quite beautiful actually, despite the purple skin.
